Corporate Social Responsibility
As a responsible employer and reputable business, Jenner takes our commitment to our surrounding local communities and the wider construction industry incredibly seriously.
We pro-actively engage with our local community in a number of different ways; regularly partnering with local educational establishments to offer advice, guidance and inspiration, promoting construction to futureproof our industry, voluntarily engaging in steering groups and committees and supporting many local sporting activities, cultural & community engagement initiatives and localised celebratory awards schemes through targeted, meaningful sponsorships. In 2018 in excess of £40,000 of charitable donations were made to local charities and we actively encourage and support our team to participate in fundraising activities.
Within the construction industry advocating best practice procedures is vital and we are active in supporting the quarterly meeting of similar sized and smaller contractors/subcontractors to promote best practice in training and other industry topics through the voluntary Invicta Construction Training Group. Jenner was one of the founding members of Construction Safety (South East) in the 1960s and our Construction Director is a volunteer member of the board of that charitable organisation. We remain a major provider of work experience and provide bespoke site and office-based placements throughout the year, tailored to the interests and aspirations of local school and college students.
